Archaeological Cultural Resource Management Consultant LLC (A CRM Consultant) is a certified SBA 8(a) woman-owned small business that provides professional consulting for archaeology and cultural resource (historic properties) regulatory compliance. A CRM Consultant was established in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho by Jennifer DeRose MA RPA in 2016.
A CRM Consultant helps private, Federal, State, and Tribal clients meet cultural resource compliance requirements as they apply to specific project scopes. Not all project scopes are the same. Regulations vary according to permitting, land ownership, funding sources, etc. As such, A CRM Consultant tailors cultural resource investigations, reports, and related services for regulatory compliance and consults with the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), Tribal Historic Preservation Office (THPO), and lead agencies to ensure Project compliance.
A CRM Consultant is a one stop shop for all specialties under the "Cultural Resource Management" (CRM) umbrella. We conduct precontact / historic-era archaeology, ethnohistory, architectural history & the built environment, landscapes, and traditional cultural properties assessments and associated documentation.
A CRM Consultant provides consultation and reporting deliverables for the following type of regulatory Projects:
Section 106 / 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA)
National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA)
Washington Governors Executive Order 21-02 (Archaeological & Cultural Resources)
Federal Transportation Section 4(f) (Historic Properties)
Federal Communications Commission 47CFR.1307(a)(4) (Historic Properties)
Consultation, modern methods, field equipment, ArcGIS, and archaeological standards and guidelines are employed for professional timely deliverables. A CRM Consultant uses in-house ESRI ArcGIS ArcMap Desktop / Arcpad software and Trimble mapping equipment to inventory project / site information and generate geodatabase information and professional maps. All fieldwork and reporting documents are thorough and contain exhaustive ethno-historic background information necessary to understanding the landscape, archaeological, and built historic-era environment. Reports and site forms exceed State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) reporting guidelines.
All Project documentation is easy to digest, thorough, and representative of the correct local ethno-history and archaeology. Specific designed pre-field and field methods, adequate field sampling, and geodatabase data collection, and resource recordation facilitate detailed resource descriptions and spatial analysis information that is necessary for documenting and evaluating important resources. American Association of Archaeology (AAA) guidelines and ethics are always followed.
A CRM Consultant has developed a credible reputation with and has received compliments for high quality reporting from the Washington Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP) ; Coeur d'Alene, Spokane, Nez Perce and Confederated Colville Tribal Historic Preservation Officers (THPOs); Forest Service, BIA, BPA, and BLM Federal agency archaeologist leads; WA Spokane Conservation District, WA Dept. of Ecology; and a broad spectrum of private clientele.
